NHSO Shares Insights on Universal Health Coverage with Philippine Educators
The National Health Security Office (NHSO) of Thailand has taken a lead role in a special training course, "Universal Health Coverage in Thailand", organized by The Faculty of Public Health at Mahidol University, in partnership with the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health (ASMPH), Philippines, for its faculty members.
The course, aimed at enlightening 80 educators from ASMPH about the complexities and achievements of Thailand's Universal Health Coverage, had its prime event on Thursday, June 22, 2023. From 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Mrs. Wilailuk Wisasa, the Director of the International Collaborating Division on UHC Policy Advocacy Unit from NHSO, delivered a lecture on the topic "Universal Health Coverage".
Mrs. Wisasa's insightful presentation provided a comprehensive understanding of Thailand's successful health coverage policy, including the hurdles encountered and the strategies used to overcome them. The lecture has been well-received by the faculty members, providing them with a wealth of knowledge on effective health coverage systems.
This training session not only presented an opportunity for the NHSO to share its expertise and experiences but also served as a platform for NHSO to gain insights into the health coverage policies and strategies of the Philippines.
