NHSO support a Training Program in Technology of Medicine and Public Health for Lao Health Personnel

Bangkok, Thailand - On 9th February 2023, NHSO support Mahidol University, Faculty of Public Health hosted a training program in Technology of Medicine and Public Health for health personnel from the Lao People's Democratic Republic. The initiative was initiated by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn and attended by 5 participants from various provinces in Lao PDR. The opening speech was delivered by Dr. Yupadee Sirisinsuk, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Health Security Office (NHSO). The training took place at the NHSO head office. The lecture topic was "The development and moving forward of Universal Health development in Thailand," which was delivered by Mrs. Wilailuk Wisasa Director of an international Collaborating Division on UHC Policy Advocacy Unit, NHSO. The participants also visit the contact center 1330, to see the real activities and discuss with clients how they manage the consumer protection activities and experience in COVID-19 Pandemic period. The aim of the program is to enhance the skills and knowledge of health personnel in the field of medicine and public health. This initiative will support the development of health systems in Lao PDR and help improve the overall health outcomes in the country. Mahidol University is committed to improving health outcomes in the region. NHSO is honored to be a part of this initiative aimed at providing training and support to health personnel in Lao PDR."
